Plein Air: Keyhaven

Keyhaven is s lovely spot, rich with wildlife. There’s plenty of interest for the painter. To the south, there are beautiful views of the Isle of Wight. To the east, a path curves across the marshes towards Lymington. To the west, across the shingle. is Hurst Castle. Add to this a busy boatyard and boats dotted across the lagoon, and the painter is spoilt for choice.

When we arrived, the sky had a golden glow with unusual clouds. It was dull and a bit chilly for most of the morning but there were plenty of birds to entertain us and quite a few walkers to chat to. We had a lovely time.
